With this inspection kit, the end user will be able to cover a majority of the coating inspection process in corrosion control. It allows the user to detect the ambient conditions / paint temperature, measure the surface profile of a blast surface, measure the wet film of fresh paint and dry film thickness and detect the surface profile. In addition, the Fitz’s Atlas of coating defects contains more than 100 color images of 64 coating defects and provides a clear and concise description, highlights possible causes, advises on prevention and suggests appropriate repair procedures.

In the past, you could determine the thickness of paint coating only by recording it with conventional gauges and drawing your own graphs or tables – usually by hand. You had to fill in the vehicle and customer data yourself before printing it all on the company paper of the inspection organization.
In addition to the usual individual coating thickness measurement, the QNix CarCheck system enables you to choose between various menu driven measurement programs for various vehicle types.
Furthermore, you can select the measuring mode you need for each vehicle type, such as limo, station wagon, convertible or van. Choose between Basic measurement with 3 measurements per measuring object (Fender, hood etc.) or Intensive measurement with 6 measurements per measuring object. The gauge shows you the exact spot to be measured in its display. After taking the measurement, the gauge switches to the next measuring spot automatically. That way, all measurements are stored within the gauges memory at the end of the measuring procedure. The wireless communication between gauge and PC is achieved via the provided USB adapter. The measurements are safely stored within the gauges memory until you delete them using the special QuaNix CarCheck software included in the scope of supply. The gauge’s menu is designed in the same easy and intuitive way as the menu of a modern cell phone, allowing safe and intuitive operation of a measuring system that meets all the requirements of today’s generation. The fact, that the administration and analysis software included resembles the commonly used MS office applications, supports the handling of the system even more.
