The
QNix Handy measures coatings
on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals (both aluminum and steel). This thickness
gauge is most commonly used by automotive industry professionals and a less
expensive alternative to Elcometer 311 Highline Paint Meter. Within seconds you know if a
car has been repainted or had any other body work. The
QuaNix Handy is also used
by these industries: paint manufacturers, container manufacturers, machine/tool
shops, gas and water suppliers, etc.
Most car dealers and other auto professionals choose the
QuaNix Handy. It measures on steel and aluminum to 20 mils and since for most
car manufacturer's factory paint thickness is between 4 and 6 mils thick, the
Handy is adequate.
QuaNix is the only device listed in the workshop manual for Daimler Chrysler AG
and is also used by Volkswagen and Audi.
The QNix Handy is also used in specialized manufacturing and inspection
applications.
