Those who have to repair damages caused by an accident, or hidden rust, have to apply thick layers of paint or body filler. The electronic-magnetic sensor in QuaNix® Crash Check® quickly detects whether the coating on the sheet-steel body is thicker than it was in the original state. This way you can detect efforts to cover suspicious sections.

With the QuaNix® CrashCheck® the thickness deviation can be figured out, fast and reliably. QNix® Crash Check®  was developed particularly for used car trading. Simply place the tester on the car body and press the red button. The tester immediately indicates what one can not see with the naked eyes.

Multi-color LED indicators:

	Green Indicates The paint is of normal thickness.
	Yellow Indicates Paint may be significantly thicker than usual.
	Red Indicates WARNING!* Paint is considerably thicker, there are severe irregularities in the bodywork.  The car likely has accident repairs, hidden rust or other body damage.

CrashCheck® CALIBRATION AND ACCURACY STATEMENT:

Gages for North America are set to go from Green to Yellow at the 5 mil (127 μm) mark.
The Yellow to Red threshold is at the 17 mil (432 μm) mark.
Tolerance for this gage is ±1 mil (0.001”) or 25.4 μm.
